Mr. Lucky is an award-winning educator, leadership trainer, and community advocate whose career spans more than fifteen years across education, justice, and civic engagement. Licensed as a Secondary Social Studies Educator, he has designed and taught culturally responsive courses such as Leadership, Race in America, and Community Organizing, each crafted to empower learners to recognize illusions in society and reclaim agency through knowledge, resilience, and clarity.
With a Master’s degree in Advocacy and Leadership and a Bachelor’s in Social Sciences, Mr. Lucky integrates Rational Thinking (RT), Rational Emotive Therapy (RET), and restorative practices into his teaching and writing. His work equips readers and students alike to confront irrational beliefs, dismantle illusions of inadequacy, and embrace accountability and authentic connection.
Throughout his career, Mr. Lucky has served as a Social Studies Educator & Curriculum Developer, Dean of Students, Director of Public Relations, Juvenile Probation Officer, Paralegal, Urban Teacher Coach, Community Relations & Public Affairs Director, Military Police Officer, Correctional Officer, Park Police Patrol, Veterans Case Manager, Legal Clinic Manager, and Patient Advocate. These diverse roles reflect his lifelong commitment to bridging education, justice, and community empowerment.
Recognized with numerous awards—including the Pillsbury United Communities Service Award, the U.S. Army Service Award, and leadership honors from the Governor’s Legacy Committee—Mr. Lucky embodies the values of presence, prioritization, and authenticity. His mission is clear: to equip others to see beyond illusions—whether in relationships, education, or society—and to pursue authentic partnerships rooted in we, us, ours.
